Body woods are solid swamp ash or basswood on the classic. The custom features a figured facing wood on either swamp ash, basswood or mahogany, selected for weight, grain structure and resonance.
The neck on the classic is slab headstock style, with either maple or rosewood boards
On the custom, necks are maple laminates with pinstripe black veneers, rosewood or maple fingerboards. A two-way truss rod is fitted to all necks. Angled-back headstocks improve tuning stability, maintaing an even pressure across the nut.
The custom model is also available in a PJ combination, making for a very versatile instrument.
