The philosophy behind this bass was to design and make an instrument that tonally was an accurate representation of an EUB whilst retaining the feel, comfort and playability of an electric bass.
The first model was built in 1995 and it has changed significantly since then. It was immediately apparent that this instrument could be more versatile than any other electric bass, the addition of a magnetic pickup in combination with the standard piezo system. Dual active circuits for the piezo and magnetic channels.
Composite fingerboards mean this instrument can be strung with roundwounds or flatwounds as well as the standard black nylon sting set, the composite board is extremely durable, tonally superior to wood.
Composite reinforced African walnut 5 /7 piece neck with wenge or sycamore laminates.
